However, if you’re looking for something unique, or don’t want to go the whole costume route, there’s tons of ways to make your hair the “mane” attraction.

Halloween hairstyles , even those that don’t require an entire costume can add a bit of terror to your tresses, without requiring an uncomfortable outfit or heavy makeup to keep people from constantly asking, “what are you supposed to be?” (One of the most annoying things ever).

Dem bones! Dollar stores are a great place to find cheap accents that can quickly become an accessory.

If you do use snap clips, I recommend these, like are used for clip-in hair extensions. The metal ones especially, are much more comfortable (in my opinion).

Color is another great option! Temporary color can he a great way to spice up your ‘do for a day. Just beware; if you’re a pale blonde shade, certain colors, especially reds, can stain and leave you with a pastel hue for a few days.

Hair chalk is an easy way to add temporary color. If you have medium Brown hair or darker, they may not be very vivid or show up at all, so always do a test run first. Do it somewhere inconspicuous, to make sure it doesn't stain, too.

If you don’t want to risk it, clip-in hair extensions May be a better option. Buy them pre-colored or color your own, just remember human hair can be heat styled, while synthetic hair (Barbie doll type hair) will likely melt with heat.
