I just recently stumbled upon a fun, interactive site that allows you to put your photo into a variety of “backgrounds”.
Forget the office supply store, dancing elf holiday cards – these are unique and fun!
Granted, I did (witch) doctor my result a bit, but it’s still just as fun, especially if you’re photo-program challenged.
Makes me think of every tourist town I’ve ever been in (which, for the record, is a lot), where they try to snag you at the counter of every truck stop or tourist shop with an “Alien Driver License” (everywhere in New Mexico) or an “Official Spud Tester” card (all over Idaho), to “The Original Ray” (New York) and “Real Harvard PHD” (Connecticut); they’re fun keepsakes that don’t take up the space of a snow globe or the expense of other souvenirs.
Kimi has tons of other cool backgrounds and cut-outs, just begging to have your photo(s) added for a special, personal touch!
You don’t have to download anything; it all works online. You simply pick your scene, upload your photo and viola! You have a fun photo to post online or send to family.
Being Wiccan, I thought the Witch License was especially appropriate – although, as mentioned, I did add some of the clip art (the cauldron and frog, for example) from the graphics program I use for FREE, on my phone!
While I miss my iPhone, the data rates with me working exclusively online are outrageous. I have a $40 Droid Trac Phone, with a $40 a month unlimited, pre-paid service.
So, yeah. I have a cheap phone, with shit for service but an awesome photo program you can grab from your play store (I use a different program on my iPhone, but that’s irrelevant) called PicsArt. There are in-app purchases, if you want speciality graphics packs, but honestly, I’ve never spent a dime on it and still get some super fabulous stuff (graphics, effects, borders, frames, etc.). Plus, new “freebies” are constantly being added.
Anyway, Kimi offers some super cool, “jumping off” points, and PicsArt can add that extra touch, if you so desire.
I will say, if I had a young kiddo, the Dracula frame would be my choice!
Super cute, super easy, super entertaining.
