Since my week was a bit, shall we say, disturbed, we’re swapping out Seafood Sunday for Spooky Sunday, to make up for the Freaky Friday blog I wasn’t able to conjure up in time. It’s a double-header; black cats and cauldron style.
Before we get into anything crafty or BOOzy, very seriously…
IF you have black animals who go outside, keep a VERY close eye on them. I know, in our area, there’s been a recent rash of husky thefts (we have a wolf-husky hybrid, but it’s been in the last couple weeks, so I can’t help but wonder if there’s a correlation), and while our cats don’t go outside, and Dusyran (our dog) is mostly white, the closer we get to Halloween, the closer we keep an eye on all our pets. I beg you – if you have any outdoor pets, please keep them inside, or, if like Dusyran they have to go out, keep a close watch.
Now, if you’re slightly morbid, check out these Pyro Pet candles, shaped like a cat, that burn down to expose the skeleton.
If you’re not quite that wicked, black cat pendants would make a PURRfect addition to any outfit.
Plus, a kitty shaped egg mold and a bit of black food coloring, could make Halloween breakfast whisker-licking good.
If you don’t like those, find even more black cat (and other Halloween) makeup ideas here.
Complete the scene with some hexing decor .
Now, this says it’s a “Christmas Angel ” costume – however, make it black and the lights green or purple, it would make a stunning, and sexy, witch. Add some bewitching nails, maybe this lacy hat and while I’d dress up my infant as a frog, cat, bat or something else bizarrely complimentary (probably part of why I don’t have children), baby witch headbands are awfully cute.
Of course, any real witch must have a cauldron of magic potion! Try try one of these witches brews!
